Thoughts for the day...

Give man wood, he'll make fire,
give man ropes and strings, he'll fish for food,
give man a mate, there will be generations ahead,
give man a wheel, there will be civilizations to create.

Separation is inevitable

Why? I have come to a conclusion that we mankind will definitely face the issue of separation let alone beasts. Think of it this way, tho' it may not make any concrete sense but we are face with separation be it in terms of relationship, loved ones, career, country of birth and so on the very first day itself when our umbilical cords are snipped from the life giving wombs of our mother. Moving along goes our innocence and purity once puberty hits.

And once we are mature enough to face the world and fend for ourselves, we'll one day leave the comforts of our folk's house and seek a life of our own in this world and find something to call our own.

Till the very end of our journey, separation will be lurking. We mankind are constantly seeking something to rest our faith and belief in, and that's where religion comes into the picture. Our faith in the supreme One is there to ground us to reality and teaches us not crack under pressure of making wrong decisions in life along the way. Religion and teachings also assures us that if we do good deeds and resist temptations of the devil instead of committing sin, there'll be a place for us in Heaven according to the good books of God. But death is there for sure.

Separation of us from reality to the netherworld is for certain unless human cryogenics are successful and still survive the question of ethics and morality of playing God. And still death at the end of the road is inevitable for sure. "You cannot escape death and tax in this world" once quoted by a friend of mine. correction: quoted by a friend on behalf of Benjamin Franklin)

"In this world, nothing is certain but death and taxes." -Benjamin Franklin (1706-90) -
"Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome." -Isaac Asimov (1920-92)-

Wonder if it's true...

I've always participated in most of these IQ tests and such. Wonder if indeed, a person's IQ could be determined through these tests. Foolproof it ain't but what the heck. Here's my results.

The Classic IQ Test

Congratulations, David!
Your IQ score is 122

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Tickle's Classic IQ test. Your IQ score is scientifically accurate; to read more about the science behind our IQ test, click here.

During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. We analyzed how you did on those questions, which reveals the way your brain uniquely works.

We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is an Insightful Linguist.

This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.
