Excuse the Asians for havng an opinion that NZ may be boring to their likings...

I recently read an article on Herald a few days ago and just before that, it wasn't open for views yet. And I thought it was intentional not to open it out for the publics view on the subject matter. As I was imagining that if they did (shaking my head), surely there would be some hostililty and s**t loads of comments and angst on us Asians. I was like OMG here we go again. And we are off to being misunderstood once more.

And sure enough a few days later when I was browsing the news on Herald.co.nz, I found the article again (purely accidental) and true enough, it had opened to public for views or scrutiny in this case!

After reading copious amount of comments, every 2 out of 5 feedbacks targeted to Asians being the root of the problem, being the evil and wicked stepmother of NZ, being the one that would not be welcomed if we thought it boring here in NZ. And of course there were also views of some (of the many ex pats, foreigners having lived in NZ before, and even Kiwis) defending Asians for being the limelight of the topic. Bravo to these people that acn and will make the world a better place to live.

And I just couldn't sit there and not have a voice of my own! At that moment, my skin was already boiling up and that time bomb was ticking in my head (picture Uma Thurman in Kill Bill angry with that sirens sounding) and so I sent a little of my opinion on the matter. Whether Herald's moderator decides to deem it public is a whole different story entirely.

And here was my 2 cents of the whole debacle of comments;

Yes, NZ is boring. Yes it may be attractive to others. It all depends on individual opinions and at what stage of life they are in be it young or old. Just by ridiculing Asians being the problem in the first place here by other readers is already one reason/proof that we are hostile towards anyone who doesn't share the Kiwi mentality, indentity or upbringing in the first place. Is that fair? Take for example boy racers blowing their horns and pumping the accelarator just wasting their youth on Queen Street any given weekend. Take a glace at them, do you see mostly Asians doing that? And to add to the statistics, suicide rates here are one of the highest in the world. Herald chosing to target Asians for their views on the topic of NZ being boring = Asians suffer the wrath for having an opinion! When will we ever learn to adapt and CO-EXIST? Perhaps Bono (U2) will tell us how!

Something hit my mind whilst watching our survivor friend Bear Grylls on telly. So I came up with this thought that goes against the old saying "Don't shit where you eat"

My revised version...

"Never shit where you eat unless you are a hippopotamus"

Ok but honestly, how do they do it? TV dinners won't be a nice scene I can tell you that!

It all makes perfect sense now

No wonder I don't have hatred clogged up in my arteries!
